A central part of every day; teachers and children take time to prepare lunch settings, serve one another and share conversation and experiences whilst we eat. There is a choice of freshly cooked hot lunches or to bring a packed lunch. Fresh fruit and a selection of vegetables and snacks are available to students throughout the day.

Hot vegetarian lunches are prepared in the school kitchen by our lovely Chef; Laura. There are regular opportunities for our older students to work in the kitchen, cooking for the whole school community as part of their practical work. Students curate and plan the menu’s through regular feedback to the kitchen and through student led surveys about food, tastes and preferences.

Fresh ingredients are used wherever possible and the children are often involved in the preparation and cooking process. We grow all manner of herbs, fruits and vegetables in our garden and paddocks for use in our snacks and lunches.

  • Mon - Laura's award winning macaroni cheese and peas, fresh fruit salad
  • Tues - Roasted vegetables with chimichurri sauce and couscous
  • Wed - Baked potato, salad, beans and coleslaw, fruits from the garden
  • Thurs - Teriyaki vegetables with coconut rice, fresh fruit
  • Fri - Three bean burritos with sour cream, guacamole and salsa, oat and raisin cookies
  • Mon - Veggie spaghetti bolognaise with homemade garlic bread
  • Tues - Roast teriyaki vegetables with coconut rice, fresh fruit
  • Wed - Lentil soup with tomato bread or vegan cheese scones
  • Thurs - Potato gratin with corn on the cob, banana and fresh greek yoghurt
  • Fri - Tomato (and hidden veggies) pizza with sweet potato wedges, salad from the garden
