Our Infant Community provides an environment which is carefully prepared to meet the unique needs of this age group. Our classroom accommodates children 12 months to 3 years. In this setting the children come to feel the classroom is their own peaceful, special space where they play a meaningful role in their own care and the care of their environment.

Our Infant Community is a world of joyful discovery, where the foundations of learning are laid through movement, creativity and connection. Each day flows through a gentle rhythm of play, song, story, and shared meals, moments that nurture belonging and independence in equal measure.

Here, the arts are woven through everything we do. Music, painting, storytelling, and movement spark imagination and help our youngest learners make sense of the world around them. Teachers skilfully use the creative arts to invite curiosity, deepen focus, and give expression to early thinking and feeling.

Children explore indoors and out, engaging in rich sensory experiences and practical life activities that strengthen coordination, language, and confidence. They learn to care for themselves, their friends, their classroom, and even the living creatures who share their space.

This is where the EMAS journey begins, in a carefully prepared environment that celebrates each child’s unfolding independence and individuality. As their confidence grows, children transition naturally toward the Children’s House, carrying with them a love of learning and a deep sense of connection to their community and world.
